A traditional open or semi-open tart

350g Shortcrust Pastry
135g Golden Syrup
125g White Bread Crumbs
Grated rind and Juice of 1 Lemon
1 Teaspoon of Ground Ginger
Pre-heat the oven to Gas 5, 190 centigrade. Roll out the pastry and line a 25cm pie dish. Warm the golden syrup gently and add the grated lemon rind, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and the ginger.and the breadcrumbs.. Mix well and pour into the over the pastry. Bake in the oven for 25 - 30 minutes until the pastry is golden.
